" Long Live the king." Scar's words echoed in Mufasa's head as he fell to the stampede below. His life flashing before his eyes. he hit the ground as the wilderbeast trampled over his body. Mufasa saw a white light at the end of a tunnel. "Simba, Sarabi, forgive me, my time upon this world has been cut short, I only regreat that you must suffer under scar and Zira." Mufasa said as he walked towards the light. " No my son, your time has not come yet." His father's voice said as Ahadi appeared before his son. "Mufasa, the gret kings of the past have decided that you are not yet ready to join us, and so has the great spirit." The former king said. " But father, I am dead, my body is broken. how could they reach such a dessicion?" He asked. Ahadi sighed. "Nothing is imposible for them My son, my time has passed, but your reign is not yet over." He said as Mufasa started to awake. He overheard Scar talking to Simba. " Simba, come here." Mufasa said as he rose to his feet, glaring at scar.

Simba went over to his father. "What is it, Dad?" he asked.

Mufasa moved in front of Simba and roared. He slashed scar's other eye, giving him a matching set. "Scar, you tried to kill me, and worse you also tried to convince Simba it was his fault!" He roared. "I will can forgive your evil acts, but I can not forget those years your were my family." He said. "You are bsnished Scar, never again shall you be welcomed in the pridelands." Mufasa decreed. "you are longer part of my Pride, or my family. run away scar, run away and never return or I will kill you." The king declared to the traitor.

Scar snarled. "Be wary, Mufasa, for this is not the end!" he shouted as he walked away.

Mufasa said nothing as scar leeft his sight. The three Hyennas saw this and left a diiferent way. Mufasa winced in pain. it would take time for him to fully heal, both pysiclly and emotionally. It was then Zazu awoke. " Sire thank goodness, you and Simba are safe." The Majordomo said. "Zazu go get Sarabi and the others, I'll need help getting back, and tell them to have Rafiki there for me." Mufasa said as he laid down. "Simba, I want you to stay close to me." He said as Mufasa held simba close while Zazu flew back as fast as he could. Mufasa closed his eyes to rest for a bit even though he wanted to stay awake till help arived, his Injuried body had other Idea's. Mufasa awoke to Sarabi nuzzling him, tears flowing down her face as she lifted him on her back and sccooped Simba up into her mouth. She was flanked by four lionesses and they helped their queen carry Mufasa back to Pride rock. Rafiki was there and after examining Mufasa he said the king would need rest and would have to stay in the den for a while.

Simba went up to Mufasa, obviously worried. "Dad, are you OK?" he asked, fighting back the obvious tears in his eyes.

Mufasa smiled. "Yes Simba, but I won't be able to play with you for awhile." Mufasa said sadly, nuzzkeing simba to reassure him. He loved to play with Simba and nt being able to pained the king more than his Injuries. "Come simba, lets let yor father rest." Sarabi said as she ushered him out of the Den. She still could not beleve Scar did this. but Sarabi was thankful to both the great kings and the great spirit both Mufasa and simba were safe. Rafiki continued to apply herbal juices to Mufasa as the King drifted to sleep. Sarabi looked at simba. "Simba, I want you to promise me you will never ever go anywhere with out at least four lionesses with you." The queen said. "I don't want to scare you honey, but Scar will come after you when he feels he's strong enough and I wnt you to be safe." She said, holding Simba close and nuzzling him affectionetlly.

"Simba!"

Nala climbed up the rocks and stopped as she reached Simba and Sarabi.

"Simba, are you alright?" she asked. "I heard the stampede in the Pridelands. You're not hurt are you?"

Simba turned to Nala. "Yeah, I'm OK," he said.

"What about your dad? Is he alright?"

Nala gently hugged him as she began to cry.

"I was so scared when I heard", she cried. "I thought you were dead."
