Title: Ahadi and Uru's Reign

Story: Ahadi, the son of King Mohatu, and Uru, the daughter of the Selfish Lion Choyo, have gone through a lot to be together. They met as adolescents during a great drought, and, despite the mutual dislike between their families, helped to put an end to the war between their pride through their love. Now, they are a young married couple. Mohatu has fallen ill, and has now given the throne to Ahadi. However, Uru's mother, Kiya, who is consumed with anger at her daughter for the death of Choyo in the war, is back and causing trouble for them. The story goes through this, the cubhoods of Mufasa and Scar, and all the way up to the birth of Simba.

Young Ahadi looked over the Pridelands, his mind thinking about all the things that had happened to him. Just recently, he had married the dark-furred lioness Uru, the love of his life, and together, they had stopped the war between their prides. Not in a million years did Ahadi think that he would fall for a commoner, nevermind the daughter of his father's greatest enemy the selfish lion known as Choyo. "Uru, you are the best thing that ever happened to me," he said aloud.

Uru chuckled, coming up behind him. "Why thank you, love," she purred, gently nuzzling him before sitting beside him. She looked over the horizon, quietly enjoying the warmth of the sun on her dark pelt and the presence of her mate beside her.

Ahadi smiled, the breeze blowing his jet-black mane around. He looked at the lands and then back at Uru. "You know, with the lands so green right now, you can hardly tell there was a drought here," he said.

Uru nodded, gazing out towards the lands. "But I am afraid that even though the lands will not be scarred, our hearts will be instead."

Ahadi looked at her curiously. "Uru, what do you mean? The war is over, the land is back to normal, and my father has apologized for trying to keep us apart," he stated, remembering those days when he and Uru were adolescents and all of the trouble was happening.

Uru turned her head, refusing to meet his eyes. "Nothing, love. I didn't mean anything at all." She got up, stretching and went into the den swiftly without looking at him again. "Morning hunt!' she called.

Ahadi watched Uru go to summon the lionesses for the morning hunt. At the same time,he decided to go and visit with his father Mohatu. He went into the den and saw the king resting. As he came closer, Ahadi paused to greet his beloved mother Harufu. He then looked at Uru one last time. "I wish you luck, my love. Be safe," he said.

Harufu smiled as her son came into the den. Harufu's mate, Mohatu, had fallen very sick. Nobody knew what was wrong with him. "Good morning my son." Harufu said motherly.

Ahadi nuzzled his mother and looked at his father. "Is he all right?" the hot-tempered young lion asked.
