OOC: Ehhh I'll start then.

"RAWR!"
Amanda pounced on the rock, determined to catch the evasive purple butterfly resting on top of it. At once it fluttered off, leaving Amanda colliding with the rock head-first. "Ow," she groaned, rubbing her head. The butterfly hovered close, as if mocking her. To Amanda, whose head was still spinning, it looked like there were three butterflies hanging in the air in front of her face. She shook her head, dazed. Now there was just one: a beautiful violet color with bright red stripes and two pink spots on each wing. Amanda smiled to herself. She would catch it by surprise!
Still feigning dizziness, Amanda stumbled clumsily off of the rock, knowing the butterfly was watching from a short distance. Suddenly, she turned around and sprang at it. "Gotcha!" she yelled, victorious. But when she looked in her paws, there was no butterfly there. She had caught a razor-sharp claw attached to a paw with dark bristling fur. She let go immediately. There was a menacing growl from above her head, and she noticed that she became engulfed in shadow as the creature loomed over her. Her heart thumping, Amanda looked up and gulped. There was a large ferocious hyena standing right above her, drool starting to form at the corners of its gigantic mouth that was lined with what seemed like hundreds of teeth. She managed to spot the tip of the poor butterfly's wing disappear in its jaws as the hyena crunched it to bits. It spat out the remains and glared at her viciously. Amanda knew that she would be next.

OOC: Thought I might get straight to the action. I used the picture KK made for me to help us start off the story.

A figure moved in the distance charging towards the two of them. It was a lion. A grey one. A very big strong grey one. He was zipping across the savanna, His legs almost a blur. As he neared the Hyena and Amanda he sped up and charged straight into the hyena knocking it flying 'Keep away from her you filthy beast!' He charged for the hyena again and lay down a furry of smacks and slashes. The hyena eventually got up and limped away.

The lion then came over to Amanda. His body towered over this young cubs. Aware that his size would scare the poor cub, he lay down as far as possible and looked at the Amanda with his scarred red eyes. He spoke softly to her 'Are you ok young one? He didnt hurt you did he?'

"Uhh," Amanda gaped at the huge lion towering over her, quivering visibly. She still hadn't quite gotten over the shock of finding the hyena glaring at her viciously. And as for her poor butterfly friend...
"N-no" she squeaked, then cleared her throat, hoping she looked less scared than she felt. This large lion scared her almost as much as the hyena had. "I'm alright." she lowered her eyes to the ground and hesitated. "Thank-you for saving me." she murmured.

Kivuli saw that this young cub was scared. She was shaking like a leaf. He didnt want to scare the poor thing and so decided to reassure her. He took his paw and gently lifted her muzzle 'You dont have to fear me young one. Im only here to help you' He gave a warm friendly smile and put his paw down 'My name is Kivuli, whats your? or do you like being called young one' Kivuli chuckled to himself

Amanda managed a weak smile. "I'm Amanda." she said a little more confidently. "I'm from the Pridelands. My home, Pride Rock is on the other side of that crevice over there." she pointed to the fuzzy gray oultine with a flick of her tail. "What about you? Where are you from? Would you like to meet our pride?"

OOC: for the purpose of this rp kivulis background is different, he does not hate simba, instead he is a traveler

'Its nice to meet you Amanda. Im from a very distant land. Im a wanderer traveling around. Seeing the world, meeting new friends' Kivuli paused and looked over at the grey rock structure in the distance 'AS for your pride im not sure. I have never been a fan of big crowds.' He looked back at this innocent young cub 'Do you think they will mind if i stay awhile, its quite nice here' At that moment a butterfly came into view. Kivuli watched it and when it got into view the reached his paw out and caught it. He brought it down to Amandas level and opened his paw, revealing the butterfly standing there. 'I would liek the chance to see more of this amazing land' Kivuli smiled again at Amanda
