KK is back....just
Posted: April 27th, 2010, 4:37 pmHey guys whats up, as some of you may have noticed i have been gone for a good few days, reason being ive been at whats called Whitby Goth Weekend. Its an event that runs twice a year in a port town in the south of England. Don't jump to conclusions about what the event was like, which is what i did. While it was mostly populated by goths, there was a wide range of people
If you went into the town by day, or even night, you would find a range of costumes from victorians, goths, steam punk, medievil, i could go on. So me and 7 friends went there since thursday and we went in style to say the least. The first night was taken by comedians and a band called Alice Under The Skies. The 8 of us got front row seats, with 2 of us in fursuits (me being 1 of them) which prompted several jokes and amusement
On the second day, there was a Steam Punk night. for those who dont know what steam punk is, basically it was the image of the future from people in victorian or industrial periods of history, and believed all technology would run off steam power. Since i was new to this, i didnt have a set costume, but with help i made some leather bracers, got some battered jeans and a styleish top and went as a gentleman street fighter
Saturday was a costume ball, so out comes the fursuit again. Unfortunatly the ball was an epic fail and we went back to the steam punk place where i proceeded to pounce/tackle/hug people =3 all in all good fun, i just couldnt go inside as the heat was so bad XD
Sunday got more interesting. One of the group had a full set of plate armor and during the day decided to put in on and walk round the town with me as his caretaker. Needless to say it was a brilliant idea, we got stopped in every street for pictures and met alot of great people. Then we get to the night time and the part titled 'Sexy Sunday'. I couldnt resist, pulled out the fursuit again with sign offering free hugs. Again the inside was boiling so i stayed outside. Managed to pull in at least 75 hugs and 20 pictures
And finally Monday night. Medievil night. All of use put on our tunics, and chain/plate mail, with weapons (which were bound down for saftey) we were a big hit and 2 of us won the costume competition. Again we met a bunch of great people and more pictures were taken.
As for today, pack up and come home. Im knackerd XP but i enjoyed myself. sadly all those pictures i have no access to right now but ill see if i can find some to share with you all. So great to be back, nice to see changes to staff so all in all....WIN
