I'm really curious as to what sort of concept you all have on love. The phrase "I Love You" is thrown about willy nilly. I want to know what meaning it holds for everyone. I want to hear your opinions and explinations on love. So have at it and let me know. 8D

to me its a bond. it ties to people together displaying a complete high level of mutual trust between the pair. at times the bond is unbreakable in times of chaos or sadness, but it is also fragile. one wrong move or the wrong word can destroy it. if there is true love then the chances of it breaking s reduced but never depleted

When I saw this thread, I heard "Baby don't hurt me, don't hurt me, no more..." in my head.

To me, love is an extremely strong bond between two people.

No, Commando's thread is what do you love. Not what is love.

In my oppinion,

love is a concept, tying two people together by something our minds can't understand, sometimes this concept is so strong that you live by it and give your full attention to the other person, on the other hand, the concept can also take the inverse effect and show how deeply diffErent we all are

I'd divide it between affectionate love and romantic love.

Affectionate love is love of family and friends. I can honestly say that I would lay down my life for my friends and my family. It's an unbreakable bond between people. Some people might question that and say that it can break if you get in a huge fight and stop being friends with someone, but I don't believe that was ever love. To quote TLK (how fandomish of me) "Love is never wrong, and so it never dies." If there is true mutual love, it is irreversible. There is nothing the people I love can do about that love. I will stand by them, always.

Romantic love is different. Love is the butterflies in the stomach, the feeling that I can't live without you. It's the feeling of wanting to hug you close, to see that smile every day for the rest of my life, to be closer to you than anyone. The feeling that'd I'd give it up, throw it all away, just to be with you.

Love is what you want it to be, for me its the love and happiness I feel feel when I am happy
and the love towards my family and friends

Love is a lot of things to me. It's the bond between the person you enjoy most, and can feel most relaxed when telling your intermost secrets. It's also the tie between you and the people you always are around. It also means things religeously (which I will not here, as not to offend anybody). So it's a tie between many things, but in the end love is just an opinion. It's up to everyone's own self to decide if the opinion is correct.
