Are you an animal lover, or do you think they're annoying? Do you have favorite species, or species that scare the heck out of you? What animals would you like to have as a pet? Do you have any pets? What is your opinion about meat eating? And what about fur coats? Are those neccesary or just murder?
Just curious!

I am a HUGE animal lover! I have been one ever since I was born. xD Seriously, I sometimes think I was raised half-time by dogs. I learn't to stand by the help of a dog and I fell asleep in a dogcage as a baby. xD

Now, I do have some favorite animals, however I love them all. My favorites are cats, tigers, lions, meerkats, orcas, wolves and my top favorite is the dog. I am a huge doggie-holic! LOL!

As for my opinion on meat, leather and fur. I don't think it's necessary to kill as much as we do, because everyone has the right to live. So I don't eat as much meat as my mom and I don't wear much leather or fur (only done it by mistake a few times). Basically, I adore animals!!!

I sure am a mammal-lover, exception are overpopulated pesky humans, and annoying insects. (yes insects are neccesary. but there are too many humans around!)

Do you have favorite species, or species that scare the heck out of you?
My favorite species are: Big Cats, and Domesticated Cats. Schorpions and big spiders scare the crap out of me.

What animals would you like to have as a pet? Do you have any pets?
I always wanted to have a Cat as pet, and I do have one beautiful Brown Tabby.

What is your opinion about meat eating?
That should only be done by local tribes living in the wild like the interior of Borneo, New Guinnea, or the Rainforest. Or within Artic by Innuïts/Eskimo's (latter is not nice to call them like that... just for those who don't know them by the first name though..) Those people hardly have the option to grow vegetables you know.. But we can! and we should rely on non-animal based products instead.

And what about fur coats? Are those neccesary or just murder?
I am partially pro and anti to be honest. Like the meat-eating question. Wearing furcoats should only be done by local tribes in very rural area's, where 'our' culture-influences are not known. But I despise the fact that shoes are largely still being made of leather. Fact: An animal was sentenced to dead, for meat, and then his/her skin was used for cloathing.. Animal is dead already doesn't matter. A life has been taken, while we do have the option to use non-animal products instead.

Yet if you want to look cool, fake-fur is generally accepted, yet I still frown on looking at those, and I remove any doubtfull-fakefur stuff from my cloathing, to avoid suspicion. Even if you wear fake-fur, you show that you would have done so, if there wouldn't be any fake-fur around aswell. Matter of character to wear or not to wear.. But I see it like this. Wool on the other hand is something that comforts sheep whilst they graze in pastures in early summer, etc. Doesn't harm the animals, other then being held, and shaven, whilst they rather grazed in peace instead. But atleast they're kept alive.. And that isn't the case with leather-products for which an animal has died..

How I wish for the mass-suppliance in stores over leather-products like shoes instead!

I'm an animal wuvver too! I have some pets as well: 2 cats, named Sanga and Fluffy, 2 kakariki birds named DJ and Zizi, and a hamster called Adolf. I do eat meat, but not very often. I think all animal products should be biological. I am fairly against bio industry. I consider fur as murder, but I have a leather jacket at home. Biker, eh
The only animals I am a bit scared for, are ants and ladybugs. Yeah, I know, you wonder why
I don't know, they just scare me but for the rest, there's not a single animal I don't like.
My favorite species are all felines and canines, big cats, housecats, wolves, dogs, hyena's, foxes etc. I just adore them all! They're just cute and fluffy and that's what I like about them.

I think animals are just awesome ^.^ Especially the totally cute ones. That said, I love eating meat lol, and I can't imagine giving it up.

Well lions are carnivours and so most of us humans are...now that cows,deers,pigs,chickens are okay for me. It's just the exotics I'm worried about

I most definitely do not think animals are annoying. I think animals are the most intelligent creatures
on planet earth, and I believe humans should give them a little more respect. They are part of the earth, and everything
that comes into this world should be respected, human or not. That makes me a strong animal lover. ^^

I love felines. The species that scares the heck out of me is the insects. I can not stand those. >.>

What animals would you like to have as a pet?
Oh jeez. I would LOVE to have a lion cub, or any wild cat as a pet, or a wolf. But I know that they need to stay in the wild, as it is their natural habitat. ^^ I wouldn't like it if someone took me out of my home just so I can be there for the comfort of others. Plus, a wild cat can kill you. >.> I'm not planning on dying just yet.

I've had a few cats in the past. Currently I have one cat, Tupelo. I love her to death.

I think it's natural. Though, I am not big on the whole process on how to kill the animal to get it's meat.
I am a firm believer that it is just part of what us carnivores do. All creatures live off each other. It's just part of life.

I hate this. If you want fur coats, just make them fake. I don't understand why we have to pelt animals just for fashion. How would you like it if someone chopped off your hair, just to look good? This is highly mean to animals. If I want something furry and soft, I get it fake. I do not buy any items with real animal fur.

If is a wild animal (althought is a very bad idea), I would like to have a lion cub, a tiger cub, or a wolf
but if is a domestic animal, I'm going to a dog

I used to have a cat and a dog, but now I don't have any.
well, we know that we depend the meat of some animals, like cow, beef, pig, but at some point we have to be consious that eating other animals, rather that the ones that I just mention, is really wrong

I'm totally against that one, is really sad that many had to do this kind of thing to this animals just in order to get what they want and make money, is a totally act of cruelty, is a act of murder, we are not longer living in caves, we have a lot of materials where we can make coats without real animal fur.

Lol! Of course animals can be annoying and frustrating, but I know it's my fault if they are.
Such as Archie, he's a horse and they're scared my very silly things sometimes, so it's annoying when they spook at nothing, but I know it's in their nature and not their fault.

But I love animals and they seriously need more respect. Humans are the lowest life forms.

I love all animals, they're all so unique and interesting!
Spiders scare me to death though, but I don't hate them, it's not their fault. I will never have one killed for me, or even put outside if it's too cold...just moved away from me.


What animals would you like to have as a pet?
A horse, for sure! Some dogs, cats...a rabbit...the usual.
But if there were no limits and the animal would behave like a pet, then I'd love a fox, hyena, tiger, lion, deer.
Or! If fantasy animals were real, I'd like an Akinigamo, one of my species ^^ You can ride them and they're great to snuggle up to.

I have a collieXlab dog called Annie and a kitty called Holly ^^ they're lovely <3
I love the taste of meat and I do eat it a lot, but I always spare a thought for the animal before I eat. (Much like in Avatar if you've seen it) I wish I could give up meat and I wish everyone else would give up too...but that's never going to happen.

I once watched a documentary about a tribe in Russia or somewhere like that and they killed animals for fur and meat to survive, I understand that they need to, or they'll die and they can't afford hi-tech coats to keep out the cold, as they usually make everything themselves and have little/no money. Although I hate the killing of animals, this is ok.

When it is NOT ok is when you see stupid models, prancing down the catwalk like an idiot, dragging behind the skin of a dead animal. They probably wouldn't touch a dead animal under normal circumstances, so why would they were one?
I also go to a lot of horse related things and they often have fur coats for sale there and I hate it. I'm one of the few horse riders I know around here, that doesn't go on the hunts and doesn't enjoy the slaughter of helpless creatures.
I do wear leather shoes and I do own a leather coat...but those animals (as far as I know) were used for meat aswell, unlike foxes and other animals used for fur.

I would however wear a fur coat if I knew exactly what happened to the animal and only if it died of natural causes. I'd have nothing against wearing a Snow Leopard skin if I'd come across one that'd died of old age, sickness or in a fight in the wild. I also wouldn't have anything against buying a skin from a zoo, where the animal had also died of old age/sickness. It's dead and it had a good life, it's not going to care.

Yes, of course I am an animal lover! Some animals can be annoying, but that is not their fault, it is their instinct. I have more respect for animals than humans.

I love most animals, my favourite species would be the Felidae (Cats) although I also like wolves.
I dislike birds.

I would love to have a Lion Cub as a pet, but I know it would be cruel to keep it away from it's natural habitat and I would not want to be responsible for the suffering of it.

This depends on the circumstances, if, as Annie said, it was a tribe in Russia or somewhere and they need the furs to survive, then that is perfectly ok.

If, on the other hand, it is one of those stupid models, with the chihuahua's in their handbags trying to look all 'glamorous' that is most definitely NOT ok, it makes me sick.
