Who would win in a fight?

I found a cool article that lists a bunch of facts, I would recommend reading it before blurting out your opinion

Technically, the tiger has the advantage. Take the averages and the tiger is bigger (depending on what sort of tiger of course) and stronger and more agile. I hate to say that, but it's true, the tiger would win on average. Then again, if there was a fight lopsided in the lion's favor or you took a canon character or pitted two furries against each other, well that just opens the door wide for a lion victory!

If you want to get all technical and go through the chart step by step, be my guest. I'm just giving a general statement based on other articles I've read on this nature plus the facts from a book I own about big cats. Sure the lion is the symbol of all that is mighty, powerful, magnificent, brave, courageous and beautiful, but appearing dominating only really works on creatures of your caliber or lower. A cat can try to look menacing to a hawk, but 9 times out of 10, the hawk comes out with the win.

(statistics on cat-hawk battles based on absolutely nothing, although it has been proven that 42.3% of all statistics are made up)

Also, I don't care if lions can win an equal number of fights in captivity because those fights are pointless. You want to ask which one is more likely to win a fight, use the real thing where it is supposed to be found. I'm sorry for ranting, but it's been a long day at Mock Trial and it always works me up into this sort of mood.

I think a tiger would win, simply because its size. I hate to admit it, but I think it's true. Still, I think they're pretty evenly matched because lions have other advantages. GO LIONS!

I Luv Tigers And Lions & Other Big Cats

My personal opinion is that a lion would win the fight. They are much less solitary than tigers and their toes are not restrained by the webs that tigers have. Lions have the advantage.

as I expected, Tigers are on average just that little bit bigger, which gives them the edge.

Well, we would all know who win, it would be the tiger!(Not just cause I like tigers) Because of it's size and such.

For what I know Tigers and Lions are almost the same, they have this sharped claws, powerfull bites, both are very strong. but see who will win, I have to say that the lion will win.

The tiger would win... Lions in the wild usually fight animals either A: smaller then them or B: when the lion has help. or i guess C: Both ... a lone lion vs. a lone tiger....I think the tiger would win. However there is that saying "the bigger they are, the harder they fall." so. It could go either way. there are many smaller factors that would be involved.... like...what lion and tiger are fighting... how old they are.. random little tidbits
