having a really hard time.

Okay. I am having one of the worst weeks of my life. :( Here's my story so far:

Yesterday, I missed the bus. I called my stepdad and asked for a ride. He said he'd be coming at 9:15. I call him then. He says he can't because he an out of gas. I tell my sister, and she give me money for the city bus. I wait, I get on. I thought it just went to the commiunuty center. There were other people, so I thought they were going there too. I forgot to request a stop. So, I ended up riding all the way up to Wal-Mart. Which is like.. a long way from my city. So I ride, and ride on my way back, I remember to request a stop, I get off at the community center, and go to school. I got on the bust at like 9:45 AM, and I arrived at school at 12 PM. >.> So, I go check in, and guess what? I get a detetntion! So, I go to the late night.... and that was yesterday.

Today: Today wasn't as stressful as yesterday, but is was pushing me down. Today in workshop, I had to conference with a teacher, to get some points for these lectures. When I am taught stuff, I just... forget it. I have a bad memory when it comes to remembering things that I am supposed to keep in my head. The teacher quizes me on some stuff... then he looks over my work and says I only have one correct worksheet. My teacher asks where the rest went, I say I lost it, then she starts telling me if I loose my work, then I am going to be a flunker, and I wont be a good sucsessful student. So that really put me down. Then I go back to the teacher, and I start to cry... obviously. I am VERY senstive.. he takes me out in the hall way, and tells me that he can't help me anymore if I shut down. When I get stressed, I put my hood up, and my hair in front of my face, my head down in my arms and I cry. He told me to act my age, and to toughen up, because I am supposed to act mature, and my age.

Anybody can give me advice? I am really ready to give up. :(

Aww! :hugs tight: I'm so sorry Crystal! It sounds stressful, as school usually is. The only advice I can think of to give you about your work is to write little notes, no long novel notes just little tidbits here and there, maybe they'll help trigger your memory and help you. That's what I used to do. That bus situation totally and is kinda scary... you're lucky there weren't any creepers on the bus. ;)

I know you feel overwhelmed and things are stressful but try to remember Christmas vacation will be coming up and you'll have some time to wind down from school. Things will get better you just gotta remember that. :) I know that's corny but I'm a lousy advice giver... however if you need someone to talk to I'm here. :hugs again: Be strong buddy things will look up. :)

Aww, I'm so sorry SM! D: This is one of the reasons school sucks... I know how you feel, I was like D: when I got just 2 at my Math exams... Your teacher really sucks. My parents tend to cry sometimes too. Crying is for all ages. >.> Everyone knows you're not a flunk. Your teachers are just too harsh on you. I don't have any advice, expect from writing some key words of the lesson somewhere to help you remember what you have to learn. Might help you out. Or if you feel down, try watching something funny to cheer you up a bit. Again, I'm so sorry.. :( Everyone seems to be in a crappy mood those days.

Aww I’m sorry that happened to you Crystal. School really sucks and teachers can be really insensitive and inconsiderate sometimes.

I was never the top student, so I guess I’m not the one to be handing out advice on academic stuff. When it comes to certain things I have the memory of a goldfish. :P

Anyway, I hope things get better for you, with Christmas approaching you’ll get some time off school and you’ll hopefully manage to return with fresh strength and confidence. ;)
Just remember to not give up. Giving up will not make things better. You just have to keep your chin up and keep walking, if there is a storm raging around you, you’ll never get through it if you lie down.

I’m always here if you need to talk, feel free to PM me if you need some cheering up! :understanding:

Oh, and here’s a smiley face for you:

That bus story was just bad luck. That's why I never take public buses. They're so confusing lol >.>
Your teacher's a complete douche as well... "Act your age?" WTF? You're like, 14. Everyone cries it's a a natural human response to sadness. I would of done the exact same thing if I was in your situation. Your teacher is really insensitive and mean. >.>
If you want to improve your memory, play some memory games over Christmas break. I know that sounds stupid but it's supposed to work. :) And like everyone said, don't let stuff like this get you down. You've just had a lousy week but I'm sure it'll get better in now time. ^^
