So not many people here know about my newest hobby which is... Lego. I genuinely love building and displaying Lego sets and I have... Hmm, well let's just say I have quite a lot of Lego and half a draw full of minifigs after only collecting for about two months. I have some of the artificially "rare" Minifigures as well XD.

All my money is split thusly : paying my bills Inc food and any other disposable income goes on Lego and everything left over is saved for a holiday or travelling.

At the moment I'm kind of just getting whatever sets look good to me but I would like to get the modular buildings and city this and actually build a city eventually.

I'll post a picture of my little collection at some point, any other Lego fans out there?

I used to have tons and tons of star wars lego- its still in the house somewhere

I have a big box of Lego from my childhood under my bed. Also a couple of sets on display that I bought while I was still living at home.

Unfortunately, the cost of living on my modest wage means that I can't afford to buy Lego sets at the moment, though I occasionally get the odd minifigure.

Last item of Lego I bought actually wasn't for myself. I bought a customised minifigure off Ebay of the Brazil / Barcelona footballer Neymar Jr, for my friend Sophie for her birthday. She loved it!

Find it. Could be worth quite an amount of money now I have a minifig that goes for about £50

That's a neat gift idea, Si. I've started collecting figs more than sets too as they take less space up.

I just got a Lego Jurassic World set (the Dilophosaurus Ambush one) as a present from a friend for my birthday, and man, is it awesome. It's definitely getting me into Lego and I fully intend on getting the other Jurassic World sets as soon as I have enough fundage.

We had a billion duplo bricks when I was a kid. I like the look of the BTTF sets but I'm a bit too frugal to buy something like that (I'm not overly into Lego - like the video games though )

I missed out on the Back To The Future set, that was one of the Lego Ideas sets I believe and was around just before I started collecting. Ghostbusters is their current one and next is Big Bang Theory. I have the Ecto-1 and will probably get the Big Bang Theory one as well, if only for the Minifigures. Because I collect the Minifigures as well and I now have... Quite a few.

Yeah it is a pretty expensive hobby. But being a fan of Disney especially the parks, I have kind of gotten use to just giving all of my money away to a company. Who really cares anyway? It's only paper and copper.

I may have a problem.
I have more sets on the way too.

I'll say if you're going to get that set, get it when it comes out. The ideas sets tend to get very expensive once they retire. The Back To The Future one goes for about £70 now!
