So yeah, I need some help from you guys for my research. I'm researching morality and its origin (studying philosophy and sociology).
If you would be so kind to fill out
this surveyI know that some of the questions are quite long, but there are only ten. The survey is anonymous, no name needed. (only age 15 and older please!!!)
I hope some of you will fill it out. thank you.
The eternal conflict of ideas and beliefs has scarred our past and threatens our future. We are all players and we have to choose a side. Which side do we choose, and why? Where did morality come from, and why is it there in the first place? Can we change our moral values, or are they carved in the stone tablets of life?
[s]free sammiches for everyone that fills it out[/s]

Finished.
Although, TBH, I felt like this survey is a bit of a cheat, because if you really want to research people's morality, you need to ask questions about their everyday lives, and not these situations that have a 1/1000000 chance of happening.

Morality in everyday life is not sufficient to base good results on. An image of morality can only be defined by extremes. Believe me, I had two professors look at this before I published them. One of them studied philosophy and the other studied sociology and I think they know what they're doing.
The validity of the situation does not matter. It is not about whether this could happen or not. It is about what reaction people would have in such a situation. Realism does not matter, the only think that matters are our instincts that are triggered by the situations. I could have used ''alien abduction'', it would not have mattered.
It is about morality, and there is no absolute in morality. all of these situations are valid situations, they all could have happened in the past 100 years. It's not about whether you could, it's about whether you would.
We'll see what people say when I publish the paper. It will be reviewed by 6 professors all around the world, so if they say it's invalid, I will take it all back. (1 in the Netherlands, 2 in the USA, 1 in India, 1 in Australia and 1 in the UK)
anyway, thanks for filling it out!
