What's your favorite holiday? What do you do on holidays? Do you travel, or stay home? Do you throw parties? Do you make gifts for friends? Do you give back to your town/city in some way? Post anything and everything about any holiday here! =D (if this is in the wrong place, please let me know! Or if there is a duplicate of this. LOL)

My favorite holiday is Christmas, because I get to spend the entire day with my family, whom I love dearly. Plus presents, lots of food and deserts, and my mom's fudge. :yummy: Best fudge there is! And I love Christmas music <3 I also love Halloween, because it's really fun to scare people and see everyone dressed up and to see all the houses decorated, and to dress up yourself. Plus, FREE CANDY! XD This Halloween me and some friends are doing a small Zombie Walk through town. >=) I do so love to scare people. I love thanksgiving also, because I get to be with my family and there's lots of food. O_O On Easter my family hosts a huge Easter party, every year (unless it's raining). 300+ People come annually, so much fun!

So yeah. I'm a HUGE holiday person. LOL

Anyone got holiday stuff to share?

Christmas is my favorite, and not only because Christmas Eve is my birthday.

Holidays are an excuse to be as lazy as I possibly can.

It's also an excuse to watch great holiday movies and eat more than you normally would.

Holidays are to celebrate the good things and life. To give life it's chance and look past the bad things in life. Every holiday should be a favorite.

if we are talking literal holidays not just times we book away then i say halloween, yes it is a holiday in the pagan/wiccan calender

Why you may ask? Well there are a couple of reasons. First and foremost its my fiancée's and one of my favourite time of year. We both like the ookie spookie stuff in shops (me a little bit her alot XD)

Second and most important this is when an event called the whitby goth weekend is on. Hoards of black descend upon a little seaside town with tea and biscuits at the ready. It's such a welcome break from the norm. Again more so for Zi since she works her socks off week in and week out. Plenty of stalls to look round and see lots of awesome food places and evening entertainment, and the best part is the town loves it, they really get in the mood of things for the weekend

So yeah halloween gets a thumbs up, then id say christmas, then summer then easter

Man oh man, do I love christmas. The most wonderful time of the year. It's honestly like they made a season just for me. I love everything about it. I love christmas decorations, I love christmas music, I love christmas cookies. Most of all, I love that everyone tries just a little bit harder to be kind to one another, both friends and strangers. And then the feeling of christmas morning with the family all together... <3

It's not Christmas until somebody cries.

I agree with this 100%! I also love the feeling of walking into my grandpa's house, where we spend christmas every year, and immediately see all the presents under the tree. <3 Don't forget the fudge, the card games and beating your cousins at poker. ;) And the stalkings, loved that when I was younger. My family will just drive through our town for an hour or so looking at decorations on the houses, and there's an annual tree lighting in the town park. I'm always crazy happy on christmas, more happy than normal. When I was young my and my bro would also watch "santa" on the world radar map the army or whoever does it would put it, and it would show where Santa was in the would at the time. Then me and my bro would be all like, "He's in NYC!" and "He's in Nevada, we need to get to bed now!" And we'd race to bed, get up 10 minutes later, see where he was again, race back to bed. We'd do that for hours until we were to tired to move. xD <3 Ah, memories. Best. Holiday. Ever!

Of course, I listen to christmas music all year long. :P

AAAAH! You mean the NORAD santa tracker? My family did that too! That bad boy had me convinced Santa was real for quite a while. Love it. :glee:
