How do you plan on achieving your dreams?

There was a thread a while back about what your dreams are for the future. I want to know how you plan on achieving them.

What will you do to get that dream job at Disney?
How will you go about working with endangered animals?

Personally, I want to help bring on problem horses, but that's more of a fantasy dream.
I've already helped one problem horse, but I could never have done it alone and I have a looooong way to go before I'd considider him "fixed".

2nd is to get my Chi Cat comic published. Here's my "to do" list:

Character reference sheets
Clothes designs
Chi Cat fashion
Laws and customs
Evolution and religion
Character personalities
More information
Fu Lion information

Story
Layout tests
Test pages
Style tests
Do the actual comic!

Get publicity
Possible freebies
Stickers
Badges
Posters
Exhibitions
Leaflets/flyers
and the list goes on...

That's so awesome! I love when people tell me their goals, and how they want to achieve them. This shows you have a plan, and aren't just saying you are going to do it! Though with a plan, must come action to reach your goals!

I want to be a lawyer, so I'm gonna have to push myself so hard in university, but i'll be worth it :)

I actually joined a third-part video game developer (if you can call them that) and is actually working on a game! :)
The chances of it being released are rather low, but if it will be finished, it might even make some cash! Yes, the economy sucks that much right now.

Very nice thread,it's nice to see what MLKers have on thier minds regarding the future.
Annie,I've seen your art and I've seen your Chi Cat comic concepts,I really hope you make that happen,it should be a thrill to read.
I'd first and foremost like to pass all my exams, that's a VERY near future and I have to study my bottom off. :ehh: On a more distant note,as far as education and career goes,I'm still planning on becoming a dentist and going to work abroad for some time after specialization. Also open up my own ordination. This all requires a LOT of studying and hard work, which I can handle,so that's the only recipe I need.
As far as other things go,I'd like to progress a lot more in rollerblading. I can only do so by constantly pushing myself, which is hard at times, due to injuries, like the one I have right now. But as soon as my wrist is better,I'm going 110% again. A sponsorship in the future would be very nice as well.
I'd like to get more involved in music as I'm still learning how to play the ukulele properly.
And that's about it for now,a wife and kids is pretty far away for now. :lol3:

Wow, GL AZ!

Personally, I'm gonna buckle down in school, learn as much as I can, and get out in the field soon as I can. I'm more of a hands-on-learner lol. I'm hoping to become an astronomer and a meteorologist someday. ^^

Steal my teacher's LEARNZ >:3

No, but seriously, do great in school and gain a scholarship to college. I'm afraid if I don't get a paid scholarship I doubt I'd be going. So get great grades! Im going to need to get a job soon and save money, though  I will stay in a tiny studio apartment while at college with little furniture, and I'm going to get a cheap car, cheap as I can get. Or take the Lumina. If it runs good, I mean :P

After I major in my field, I want to present a screenplay to Disney and prove I can be a director as well. Can someone help me? I've asked this, I like to see the answers I get. When I present a screenplay to the producer, I want to become the director of it. I don't want a director hired. Please, how do I do this?

Right now I'm attending classes at LCAD over in California. I'm trying to network with the different teachers here because a lot of them have worked at Disney. I'm working hard to improve my art while being here as well so that I can have a strong portfolio to show Disney when I apply for an internship there as a graduate.

I don't know what I want to do in college yet, but for now the plan is study study study so I can actually get somewhere good. Currently, in school I am getting almost all A's, I'm on the high honor roll, and I'm very involved in clubs/sports. I am an overachiever and I really want to go to a college that reflects that. ^^ This year I'm trying to work extra hard to make up for slacking off as a freshman. Hopefully if I keep this up, I will end up in one of my dream colleges (hopefully on a scholarship) and decide the next step I want to take in my life. :)

Oh, I don't know. I'd love to be an illustrator or comic artist in the future, but I'll just take it as it comes. Right now, I'm doing this little art project at the museum where I'm working; I'm designing cutout dolls for a little workshop we'll be having for the kids. The theme is space, so it'll be pets in astrounat suits :) It's not much, but at least it's a step forward. You see, sketching and doodling at work when you're bored IS good for your career ;P
