For general discussion and sharing of weird/freaky/paranormal/mysterious happenings you've heard of or have experienced yourself.
Okay, I closed my eyes to go to sleep and I felt vibration in the back of my head. Then, my eyes still closed, I felt really dizzy and it was like I was on a roller-coaster. It felt so real, it was amazing. When I opened my eyes, I literally saw before me that my room was spinning in circles. I couldn't control my own eyes. I tried to focus on something but my eyes wouldn't stop moving. I got up and stumbled into another room and it stopped.
If you want to live a freaking nightmare... Try having sleep paralysis. It usually happens when you're having a lucid dream or just after you wake up or something... Your body can't move no matter how much you try and you can actually see horrifying hallucinations and there's a huge feeling of dread... Little is known about it but it's real, it happened to me once.

I didn't see any hallucinations (I didn't open my eyes, I was lucid dreaming and wanted to go back to sleep... grr.) but I couldn't move at all, it was like my muscles wouldn't respond and I felt trapped and hopeless... >.<

What is lucid dreaming? The act of trying to control your own dreams?

Edited post with moar details of my experience. :B
Yes, it can happen spontaneously or with practice. It happened spontaneously with me, I just randomly told myself that I'm dreaming and had a reality check by jumping and realised I could fly. Then I got sleep paralysis... >.<

You really shouldn't do that then :B I rather enjoy having nonsensical, weird dreams and then sharing the randomness with my friends

Although sometimes when I dream I'm aware that I'm dreaming. It was weird, however. I was commenting about my dream in my dream, much like watching a movie. The subconscious mind is fascinating 0_0

Nah, it doesn't always happen. It was probably just coincidental and my brain couldn't handle the idea of being aware of dreaming or something lol.
And lol, INCEPTION! xD

You know, I never understood the movie Inception. Dreams never make that much sense at all. Someone should make a parody of that movie where he enters weird and random dreams that make no sense whatsoever

Dancing elephants wearing fruit hats, potatos in hurricanes, I'd totally watch it.

I've got two words to share with you all: Derren Brown.
If you haven't heard of him then, well...do yourself a favour and look him up on youtube. Whilst not exactly paranormal or mysterious, he certainly creates that illusion.
If I could meet one person before I died then it'd be Derren Brown without a shadow of a doubt.

^ That that that

the stuff he does is brilliant! Like when he lay face-first on shattered glass and somebody stepped on his head, yet he didn't seem affected o_O
