ok i will write the true meaning of it
Why New Jersey is called New Jersey
its called this because of the island in the british isle which is apart of the channel islands called Jersey (where i live)
Why is as follows
When Charles II or England was feeling Oliver Cromwell he lived in many places including France and Jersey.
Since George Carteret a royalist had hid Charles in Jersey and Jersey was the first of British realms to relise Charles as the true king
When Oliver Cromwell died Charles as king of England gave one of the british clonies in America to George who named it New Jersey
ok that is why.
