Probably won't be online in Dec/Nov

Yes, you heard it right: Vixey probably won't be as active in the winter months.
It turns out that the state I'm living in is going to be having the worst weather in 50 years which includes power outages, floods, and storms. There is no certainty that the power will go out, but if it does I'd like you guys to be prepared.
Please pray for me and my family and hope the power doesn't go out; either way, we'll make it through as best as possible. :lovingsmile2:

What state? Is it anywhere near where I live? o.o lol but seriously, I'm gonna miss you while if/when you're gone.. hopefully the power won't be off for a whole two months. ;)

Lol, I have no idea, but I live in Washington state. I'm sure it's not near where you live.
And thank you for those comments; I don't think the power will be out for two months though, lol. :P

I'm sure everything will work out fine.

It's supposed to be cold here, but not a lot of snow. We heat with wood primarily and we have a propane furnace as backup. We just had the tank filled so we should be good to go.

All I can say is this: I'm glad I don't live in Cleveland! They get on average 60 inches of snow more per winter than we do being on the lake. Cuyahoga County has the largest road salt budget in the state for that reason.

Wow, sixty inches of snow? That's more than Alaska! o.o

At least that's what I remember reading.

Lake Erie causes lake effect snow that seems to be almost constant in that area. My dad has often said he's glad he live in SW Ohio where we don't get nearly as much snow as NE Ohio dies. He's a mechanic for ODOT (Ohio Department of Transportation) and when it's snowing they'll go from their normal 8 hour shift and out to two 12 hour shifts.

He's got less than 2 years until retirement and he can't wait. That is unless they announce a contract buyout. Then he's going to take the money and run!
