Today i got my permit, and i am really excited to get ready to start practicing but when i was filling out the forums to get it, i was thinking about weither i wanted to be a organ donor. i finnaly came to the decision that i whould donate my organs if something happened to me, and i chose that because im lazy i dont usually help out and i just try to get by, doing the least amount of work possible, and for how little i help out i figured i could finnaly give back to the community.

I am asking the community of MLK, are you a organ donor? and why or why not?

I'm glad to hear you got the permit, I'm just beginning driving school this August. ^^

As for the organ donor, I think it's a wonderful thing to do. Donating your body to those who need your organs or for medical research is a truly noble ideal with few downsides in my opinion. I will certainly be an organ donor when I get the decision. ^^

@Amanda: You can choose to become an organ donor when you get your drivers license. An organ donor is someone who has opted into donating their healthy and undamaged organs when they die. Its a shame that people who don't sign up for it are just feeding the worms instead of saving lives, but hey that's just me and my opinions.

are going?! *LOL* As I drive a 2009 Dodge Charger . plenty of horsepower to get out of the way of crazy drivers!

I had no idea you could choose wether or not to be an organ donor when getting your drivers liscense.. That’s a little macabre, like they’re assuming you’ll die in traffic or something. I don’t remember getting asked about this when I got my liscense, but we probably don’t have that option at Norwegian driving schools. I reckon we have to sort that stuff out at the hospital.
