The next sequel - will it be any good?
I'm tempted to say "Hell no." Oftentimes, in my opinion/experience, fourth installments as well as the bringings-back of older films' characters in newly-made features often turn out... well, awful.
but a few days ago I saw Toy Story 3, a film by the same company as TLK, Disney (well sort of - technically Pixar was the larger contributor as far as plot and making, but Disney had a huge part). It blew my mind, and had me even more interested than TS3's predecessors. Since Disney has released a film with circumstances similar to TLK (older predecessors that were big hits), and done such an amazing job, I'm rethinking my opinion about Disney's ability to make a decent fourth installment of TLK after it's been dormant, so to speak, for so long. What are your thoughts?

But Disney has been known to butcher beautiful classics with absolutely trashy sequels, such as Mulan, Aladdin, the Hunchback of Notre Dame, etc...and don't even get me started on Cinderella -.- *shudders*. So what I think is a fourth TLK movie has a 50/50 shot at being either really good or really bad. It depends on whether Disney's learned from its past failures or is just looking for another way to get $$$ out of a good movie. But we gotta remember that although TLK 2 and 1.5 did have their flaws, they turned out to be one of the best Disney sequels out there. So I'm hoping a fourth movie, whether it's coming out or not, lives up to our expectations.
