My Lion King Forum

Thanigraphics made me aware of a character list on the Wikipedia page on the Timon & Pumbaa show that lists these two characters:

Neither thanigraphics nor I had heard of these characters, and when I did a search on them, I couldn't find any pages saying who voiced them or what episode (or episodes) they appeared in (though I did find a couple of pages with people asking the same question and not receiving any answer). Other pages say that the two are dating and that Rinda was lonely until she met Oprean, but again, the episode(s) they appear in are never listed. I've gone through lists that feature descriptions of most of the episodes, and Oprean and Rinda are never mentioned there either.

I'm starting to suspect that these two never appeared in the series at all and someone added those names and descriptions to Wikipedia as a joke, other sites unknowingly parroting this misinformation. What makes me especially suspicious is that Oprean is described as a prince of Pride Rock, since nearly all the episodes feature Timon and Pumbaa, and the only prince of Pride Rock that existed during Timon and Pumbaa's lifetime is Simba (and possibly Mufasa). Unless time travel is involved, I don't see how this scenario could be possible.

So, do these two characters really exist in the series, or are they completely made up?

That's interesting. I don't recall seeing any Pridelanders on the Timon and Pumbaa show except Simba,but I've never really been a huge fan,I always found the animation too tacky.

I see....a quest! Since I'm not doing anything right now, I'll skip through some episodes. If I see one of the lion cubs, I'll screenshot them! On the Hakuna Matata page of my site www.leeuwenkoning.webs.com I have all the other lions depicted (I made screenshots of them) for those who are curious.

lol that's weird that Rob Paulsen voiced a female character. =p Think I saw about every episode of Timon and Pumbaa and I don't remember those two characters. Would be neat if they really were in the series though.
