It's been a long time since I last posted in this topic, but I can explain with more reasoning and my list has somewhat changed but not too much.
Nuka
- Out of all the lion characters, I don't like how loud and obnoxious he is all the time. He's not that cool as an Outsider and he has gross hygiene. I would've preferred if he was an lion who had a low-self esteem. At least I wouldn't have to be hearing him shouting his dialogue most of the time and I probably would've been more invested in his character rather than just at the end when trying to impress Zira.
Uncle Max
- Even though I don't like 1.5 all that much, I was okay with characters like Ma since she was a nice mother to Timon, but Max really annoys me and he's such a grouch. He's a very pointless character who serves nothing to the "story".
Timon
- I don't really find his sarcasm and insults all that funny and just like Nuka, he is constantly screaming his dialogue. He often picks on Pumbaa despite being his friend and tries to prove most the time he's always right.
I don't like Timon and Pumbaa together in Simba's Pride because they ruin many of the great moments whether it is a serious or emotional moment with some kind of ridiculous outburst, which annoys me to no end. Some examples:
- When Simba and Zira are confronting each other after Kiara went into the Outlands, the scene is getting serious and intense when each of them calling out their rivals' names and there's trouble, but then, Timon bursts out to Zira saying to get out of the Pridelands and she gets mad at them. It the way he said it that was obnoxious.
- When Adult Kiara is walking down the isle to get ready for her first hunt, she goes to hug Nala. Then, when she goes to hug Simba, Timon and Pumbaa just start crying out of nowhere in a over-the-top fashion (they do the same thing at the very end of the movie). I'm like, "Really? You guys have to ruin a good moment right now?"
- Just before Simba is about confront Kovu and exile him, Timon is ready to get at him for what he did to his friend, but Pumbaa holds him back while being confused with what he was doing.
- The war between the Pridelanders and Outsiders is very intense and it's awesome, but of course, Timon and Pumbaa have to distract us away from the main characters in some way. I know they would do anything for Simba since he is their friend, but it would've been better off if they weren't even there since there isn't much that they could do anyways.
