Probably a mistake but a very interesting one. I've seen many mistakes on Mufasa but none featured him with a mane of two different colors.

Maybe the artist had read the tale of two brother's book and decided since Ahadi's mane was shown as red but said as black, he though it was a good idea mix them both then make Mufasa look more like Ahadi.

Also notice Scar looks Nuka-like.Very preculiar

Looks like they messed up a little on the shading lol. Disney needs to get its act together so us fans stop finding so many errors.

looks like the colors are a little off on everyone. I wonder if its Disney, or if the person putting that photo of the book on Amazon used a crappy camera? at any rate, Sarabi looks nearly the same color as Scar, Rafiki looks like he has practically black fur, and Scar and Mufasa appear to have gotten the contrast turned up and the brightness turned down lol.

it looks like one of the newer version books, though. I've noticed with a few of those that the colors look funky sometimes, I guess whoever's in charge of the books got the stupid idea to change up the colors a bit to make it seem "new" or something.
