My Lion King Forum

Hey! Alright so many of you may know that there is a Balto site that I have made: http://www.baltowiki.com/

Unfortunately, its not nearly as active as MLK is! Wikis just aren't really based on the community like a forum is. Some people suggested that I add a forum to the BaltoWiki site. This would help grow a Balto community and it would inspire people to edit the wiki more. The Wiki would still be the main site. Its possible to combine the users between the Wiki and forum (don't need to register twice, stay logged in on wiki and forum at the same time under the same account).

I've resisted making a forum there for two major reasons. 1.) It would be a lot of work maintaining a second active forum and 2.) I don't want to compete with BaltoSource. I made the Wiki because I thought it was needed in the Balto community. Additional forums are not needed in the Balto community (and surely not needed in the TLK community, too ) because they split activity.

Anyway,
How many people at MLK are Balto fans that would enjoy a Balto forum at BaltoWiki? Do you think it's a good idea?

I'm not a huge fan of Balto, but I think you should. Why spoil the people who actually like it's fun?

Moka, That would be sweet. I think you should do it! I'd love to help you out and maybe be mod or something. ^^. I Love the balto movies. ^^.

I agree that another forum would be hard to moderate, but maybe another member could do it for you? Like maybe co-admin? (btw don't pick me lol I'm not that much of a fan )
As for your second reason.. I don't think it would steal members from Balto Source. In fact, I think it'll attract even more fans, just like MLK is attracting more TLK fans instead of stealing them from TLKPF. There aren't many Balto sites out there so I think this would be a nice addition. ^^

Go for it . It would be awsome . i want to already go and check it out . The Balto movies seem cool but ive only saw the first one and the only other one i can remember is one where balto is getting chased by a bird

Go for it. After all, if it'shard to moderate both forums. You can pick other members to be mods or co-admins.

I really don´t care about Balto (I saw all 3 movies and all were fun to watch, for sure, but I´m not a fan) but it will be a lot of work to maintain 2 forums. Maybe if you have some co-moderators it´d be possible?

I think that would be a great idea Moka! Go for it! I know there are tons of balto fans out there. ^^

Well I guess you guys are right. It would add more fans to the community, not split them. And, Co-Admins would be able to help a lot.

I will begin working on getting the forum ready. I need to know if there are some Balto fans out there that love the movie and would love to be a moderator. Some experience being a moderator would be nice.
