Those discussions were a blast to read. I found 608 discussion search results of The Lion King on Google Groups. And here's an infamous Google Groups discussion where Roy E. They weren't referring to "Morning Report", but the user was asking who Rowan Atkinson's character was after seeing his name listed in one of the song credits. Rowan did sing a few lines in "I Just Can't Wait to Be King".

These are fascinating to read! Thanks for sharing them I've never seen any opinion from the time of TLK's release other than film critics - it was funny to see people debating its longevity sitting here more than twenty years later...
