How is Pride Rock is never the same

oh I see....well as I have said before, thats stupid well I just learn something about TLK thanks Captain,.......Once again stupid animators , and to think I was impressed with there work, ugh this kinda of change is still so hard for me to accept

Like Captain Cupcake said, Pride Rock is not created by any computer-generated model. It was hand-created background. I'm not sure if they did use the same background shots from the original film, and surely they could have since all the storyboarding and pre-production work was done at the actual Disney animation studio in Burbank, which is where a majority of the original film was produced (aside from Orlando, Florida). However, one artist stated that during production of Pocahontas II: Journey to a New World, they didn't have any access to the artwork from the original film and stated the majority of the sequels he worked on were handled that way. So, who knows, probably a similar scenario occurred during the making of Simba's Pride. If they didn't, it probably has to do with the art direction and style they were going, as well as maintaining the size and perspective of Pride Rock in relation to the characters therefore more background shots of Pride Rock have to be made.

Once again, it is not the work of the animators. It is the work of the background artists.

Well, I did have a link of the Proud of Simba's Pride documentary in my previous post where the director Darrell Rooney explained the use of Pride Rock in the film and a background artist was painting one shot. Probably, there's a deeper explanation on the bonus content on the Laserdisc.
