They make a ton but definitely taking some loses. Hong Kong Disneyland closed for the 3rd time this week. And I’m pretty sure it’s kinda pricey to open and close over and over like the way they are. Seeing how parks that already reopened are closing back down I want to say I see Walt Disney World doing the same come January, but I kind of doubt that - same with places like Universal Studios and Seaworld/Busch Gardens. Florida is weird, so probably not. Theme parks voluntarily closed back in March, because they thought it’d only be a few weeks. Now they won’t close unless they’re told to. And Florida gov definitely will not tell them to. The parks over here are getting some serious business back already, and they don’t want to lose it I’m sure.

Whoever said the tourism industry is going to take a while to recover, I have serious doubts. Parks themselves are getting really busy with their limited capacity. Lots of people are vacationing here to visit Disney/Universal/Seaworld parks. Kinda alarming with cases rising again, though. I really hope something comes along soon, because I really would like to visit parks again without having to worry about catching a disease.

Yeah, I just read about Hong Kong Disneyland closing again. Japan still remains open, but it recently cancelled its planned Christmas events for both Disneyland and Disneysea, though the merchandises are still around. Where I'm at, malls are the regular go-to places for people, and even during lockdowns, people keep going out, even if it's just a quick meet-up at Starbucks or a vacation getaway to less crowded cities. No one likes staying at home every day so I do think the tourism industry can easily bounce back - but with more covid cases like you mentioned.

Just saw that as well. It could be temporary - hopefully.

Curious to see what a “modified” version of this show is going to look like and how long it’ll last.

It quietly debuted today regardless of it being a few days from now.
Soft opening I suppose. Some pics.
