It's really strange, and has no real connection to the lion king outside of the main character "sinbad"

I've seen this video before... It's indeed strange. I doubt it would have received as much criticism if they didn't try to lure actual Lion King fans in with the title/character

I watched it, I immediately noticed how much the cub looked like Simba, I also took notice of how the Hyenas had Leopard-like tales, and despite the movie saying that time had passed. The Cub did not seem to age. Although for something fan made, it is surprisingly O.K. at least visually.
