Lazy Disney...again

I was working on a graphics request using outlander pics when I came across this screencap:
Image

I thought the lionesses looked a little odd, so I looked closer and noticed something. The two sets of lionesses shown in the screen grab are almost identical. In fact, the first lioness in both groups are identical. Or at least that's what it looked like.

So, being already in PS, I cut out both lionesses and placed the pictures side by side, shrinking one so they were the same size. This was the result.

Image

When laid upon each other and faded out, it becomes clear that that lioness was (seemingly) "copied and pasted (figuratively)" to form the other one. I just got a kick out of this and thought I'd share it. Lazy Disney!

You're right. It looks like Disney cut and pasted each of the lionesses and modified them slightly to make them look a little different. Obviously they did a very bad job. The first two lionesses in the far left and the two lionesses after them look like they're the same pic that's simply been resized or traced. The same goes for the last two lionesses in the far right. Lazy Disney lol. :P
They probably did that to make the lionesses look more like a fearsome invading army, where everyone looks the same, rather than a bunch of lionesses running to battle. But I agree that they could have been more creative about drawing them.

lol, cool. That's kinda like what they did with the world-famous stampede scene.

Disney have always done this...it's not a new thing ^^

They first used it in Snow White, which was the first full length animated movie ever. (Not sure if you can include Gertie the Dinosaur, which was actually before...but that wasn't in colour)

It's very very difficult to make an animation, and with 25/24 frames a second...that's thousands of frames, so if they can use a frame more than once, they do!
It's not only Disney I'm sure. (I know I sure would)

And if you're going to have a few lionesses doing exactly the same thing, why waste time, effort and money drawing them out again?

Although, I must admit, TLK2 isn't the /best/ animation out there, but it is good!

Wow, this always seemed strange to me, but now it's clear. Disney just copy-pasted them. And it's the best Disney sequel. Imagine the others. :x

Random: I love the one with the hair and ear tufts. x3
