What did you say, Zira?

Well, I was watching The Lion King 2 the other day and I noticed that during the battle scene, when Zira is telling the outsiders how to attack, she says this:
"Go for the eyes! Break his jaw! Hit him low!..."
Zira said his and him, this confuses me! As any lion lover knows, there is only one or two male lions in a pride, and Simba was the only male pridelander, and plus-all the pridelanders the outsiders were fighting were females. So why would Zira say these things if she knew this? (and I'm sure she did.)
Now I'm sure this is not a big deal, but it just ate away at me all week, so I had to have your guys' opinions. I think this is a result of Disney being lazy. please tell me what you guys think.

Wow.

Great point.

I'm sure this is just one of Disney's MANY mistakes in all things movies XD

Stupid Disney, with it's...
endless flaws... Bleh. But again, very nice point. I never took time to really think about this.

It's just possible that Zira said "hit 'em low" but you're right, it sounds quite a bit more like "him " :S

I never noticed that till now. And you might be right, Disney may be getting lazy with the many flaws in TLKSP as pointed out. Mike might also be right, but we'd need the actual script to figure it out. Or captions

lol

It sounds like a mistake to me, but maybe Zira really was referring to Simba when she said those lines. She was always the one obsessed with killing him right?

Yeah, I'm going to have to side with Amanda on this one. Zira's sole intent was for her lionesses to kill Simba. She didn't care about the other Pridelander lionesses. It was as if, Simba was the only target and the other lionesses were just in the way. In the battle scene before Nuka dies, she makes a reference that they need to attack as a unit, and of course, the scene after she gives Kovu his Scar, she pretty much is psyching her lionesses up to take out Simba and no one else.

This is why she might have just been speaking of Simba during that fight scene. This is my view on the subject though.

I agree with Amanda and KiarasMate. But great point, ScaЯ! I never realized that because the Finnish version was different.

Uh, if you look @ that scene, they are attacking simba... so "hit him low" would be refering to.. hitting him (simba)...

I watched the movie this morning, and I used subtitles this time. And when it got to the part, she did say: Break his gaw *slap on lioness* Hit him low
So, she did say "him" in both sentences.
