New TLK Comic - "Good Advice is Hard to Find"

I found a new TLK comic (well, it was first published in 1998, but it was reprinted just last year). It's called "Good Advice is Hard to Find", and it features Scar attempting to get rid of Zazu. There's a few amusing coloring errors and lots of clipart/movie poses, but it's still a fun read.

(Amazingly, Simba and Nala don't appear until the last page and have no lines at all! The comic centers around Mufasa, Scar and Zazu instead.)

Oh, Ed has dialog in this one. Odd, that's not something you see every day. And Scar's nose... Pink, lmao. Nice find, I quite like this one, especially the scenes with Muffy and Scar. Don't see them together as much as I would like.

Cute story but riddled with flaws. Ed talking? Scar with a pink nose? The line "Mufasa is evil"? Still, I love all things that have Mufasa and Scar together. Good find.

I love these comics

I have about 11 years of Donald Ducks in the basement, frequently they would have a Lion King comic in them (also this one showing here).
Mainly about young Simba, Timon & Pumbaa though.
Makes me feel getting all those magazines upstairs and look through them all ^^

They are usually full with flaws, but I guess the little ones who read them don't know / mind, hehe.

Talking? Ed is a damn poet laureate in this thing :P

I inescapably have the mental picture of Shenzi & Banzai randomly decorating him for s---- & giggles now & Scar walking past like "WTF? Morons." XD

Does anyone remember those Art Cow installations that were around everywhere a couple years ago? >D

Thank you, Akril! I got a lot out of this one! ...Like a new project! LOL

This was really cool! The "Mufasa is Evil!" line was suprising. On the 4th page, when Mufasa finds out about Zazu, he looks majorly pissed off. It was a little freaky.

To answer the issue that a few people have raised, Ed actually talks in several comics, as well as one of the two German audio plays featuring Kopa. It sort of makes me wonder if he suffered some kind of brain injury just prior to the hyenas' encounter with Simba and Nala in the movie (causing some kind of brain injury) and then something got dropped on his head at the end of the movie, "undoing" the previous accident.

It almost looks like Scar has red eyes in the panel where his nose is pink, but I think that's just the reddish tint that the scans have. I also raised an eyebrow at the "Mufasa is EVIL!" line, but I found it so amusing that I left it unchanged.

Sounds like a good idea! A lot of these comics have been scanned already, but I'm sure there are some that haven't been yet.

Well, I'll see what I can do...
They'll need to be scanned and edited because they are all in Dutch.
So could take some time.
