Ladysmith Black Mambazo & The Lion King
Posted: March 23rd, 2011, 9:46 pmI just listened to the album "Raise Your Spirit Higher" by Ladysmith Black Mambazo (a South African vocal group that helped perform Upendi in Simba's Pride) and to my pleasant surprise, I recognized a small part of a few of the songs on the album from Lebo M's song "One by One."
"Selingelethu Sonke", "Wenza Ngani?", and "Iyahlonipha Lengane" all end in a few sentences in Zulu from "One by One":

The album came out in 2004, and the group helped in the production of Simba's Pride in 1997/1998.
It seems like the group is honoring Lebo M and The Lion King a bit by ending a few of their songs this way. How cool is that?
