well i was wondering if there is going to be another movie, well since they made TLk 3 already

because the movie are really neat.

it would be interesting if there going to be like tv shows instead of movies

There is no official TLK3. It's TLK1½ really. Some countries just were stupid enough to title it "3" just because it was the third movie released. -.-

So if there ever will be another TLK movie, it will likely be TLK3.

But I don't know of any official source that would've ever even mentioned another TLK movie coming up. For all I know Disney's official site still states that the TLK2: Simba's Pride is the final volume of The Lion King, which is pretty much saying thay have no intentions of making more movies or anything else TLK either.

And I'm glad. Unless the first film's makers got inspired again but that probably never happens if all of them are even alive anymore.

No for God's sake. I disliked TLK2 and TLK3 wasn't even a real movie. -_-''

I don't think there are ever going to be anymore Lion King sequels made. Would be nice to have one about Kovu and Kiara's cubs or about when Mufasa and Scar's generation were cubs but don't think it's gonna happen.

knowing on how Disney is today, it make me believe that they could want to make another TLK movie, even if there are a lot of fans that doesn't want another movie,

I personally don't want to see another movie, but Disney will do what Disney will do... There is no telling if we'll get another one...

Just to let you know this is not a lie so far the producers are only giving away a little bit of info but it is enough they have made the lion king 4. They said it would either come out in late 2009 or sometime in 2010. I hope it is about continuing kovu and kiara's love life then kopa returns sometime in the story!!!!!!


edit: Actually, I heard its a prequel. About Mufasa, Taka (scar), sarabi and zira... How boring xD
I want Kovu and Kiara too!



edit 2 actually i heard that scar and zira return from the dead and wreek revenge on kovu and they kill simba the hyenas are back aswell but this time theyre on simba's side and rafiki is brutaly killed but mufasa seems to have returned from the dead but had really gone into hiding he returns just as simbas dieing and kills scar once ad for all but its too late for simba but there are about 5 or 6 new caractors and 1 is simbas older brother and kiaras uncle

like nala's real father simbas"brother"(idk if he even has one) Kovu's parents kopa & mheetu returns to see there sisters (kiara is kopa's sis nala is mheetu's sis) sorta like that bit i am not all that sure Well I heard the movie is in 2012 but it's about Scar's past


Okay, Kopa is Kiara's older brother who was in love with Vitani, I may not know much about this movie, but I know who Kopa is... (Kopa is also rumored to be the focus of the new movie as he comes back from death)

LOL @ that ask and answers.... but anyway why did Disney labeled it 3 in some countries, and 11/2 in others? Surely they got it from disney, seeing the cover art also says 3 instead of 1 1/2 so it's official

Without Michael Eisner I doubt that. Every single Disney sequel they were planning got cancelled in 2006 after he left (Snow White 2 was supposed to come out in 2007, they were also talking about Sleeping Beauty 2, Dumbo 2 and some TLK fans said a new TLK was in pre production). John Lasseter said in 2007: "No more sequels to classic Disney movies."
First some fans said it would come out in 2008, then in 2010 and now in 2012. I doubt it. Also, look at that storyline. Most of it are fan theories. Disney doesn't care about that. And the chances you'll see a sequel about SP characters are very small. That would be a sequel (or a prequel or whatever) to a sequel. The original characters are the ones that made all that money. Why would they spend money in a sequel using characters created by a television crew in some other sequel? Yes, SP is rather popular among fans but they want profit and reach the audience. What about TLK fans that don't like SP, or the general Disney fan who doesn't really care about sequels? TLK is WAY more popular and acclaimed than SP, so it wouldn't make much sense to make a movie about Kovu & friends. If there's a sequel (which I doubt) I would say it's either a prequel about Scar and Mufasa (but they would have to find some way to include Simba + Timon + Pumbaa, the most popular characters) OR a midquel about Simba's teenage years and Nala's life in the Pridelands.

I agree, a prequel of Mufasa and Scar's cubhood would make more sense than a sequel about kovu and friends. They're not that popular among non-fans.
