Why were the hyenas exiled?

In the time of Ahadi's reign (in 'A Tale of the Two Brothers') hyenas seemed to be allowed to stay in Pride Lands, as far as they don't break 'the law of the land'. Ahadi blamed them for not being in the Pride Lands, but breaking the law that prohibits to kill for sport.
But TLK movie, Zazu (actually Gopher) reported Mufasa "Hyenas! In the Pride Lands!" and Mufasa immediately went off, though he was playing with Simba. It is like the hyenas are kind of trespassers.
I wonder when they were supposed to be out of the Pride Lands?

I think they were kicked out because they are, from what we've seen, generally lawless and bloodthirsty devils, neh?

I agree with you, Az, why else would they have been exiled? Because Ahadi had something against them? Maybe, but I doubt it. Even if he did hate them, he couldn't just randomly exile them, he would need a reason.

Which kicked out them, Ahadi or Mufasa?
Or maybe Zazu?

It would make my day if Zazu kicked them out

but, being serious, I think it was probably Ahadi that kicked them out, we were never told who though, so it could've been Mufasa.

Gee. It looks convincing to me
But if it was Mufasa that kick them out, it is supposed that the hyenas don't stay out so long because Scar allows them to get back in the Pride Lands before long.
I think the hyenas had been through more greater difficulty out there, not for several months, it could be years.

First of all you shouldn't count TLKSNA as canon but semi-canon, since it wasn't directly made by Disney.
But like others said, the hyenas probably kept breaking the sport rule, resulting in their exile.

I see.
TLKSNA is not perfectly official, so we shoudn't believe all of descriptions. All right!

Also, I'd imagine the hyenas might have also been kicked out because they took up too much food/living space. Scar's fantasy of a kingdom "in which lion and hyena come together, in a great and glorious future" is simply not practical, as was obvious when Simba returned to the Pridelands. There were too many predators and not enough prey. Mufasa or Ahadi probably realized this and banished the hyenas for this very reason. It's survival of the fittest, after all.
