Ending with Simba thanking Timon and Pumbaa who bowed at him

Ending with Simba thanking Timon and Pumbaa who bowed at him

He thanked them, saying "I couldn't have done it without you guys", and the three of them hugged it out. Anyone found it great? I thought it was a very sincere moment. Saw people commenting under the clip that the hug should have been in the first movie, though I get that they were still being seen as mere sidekicks back then.

Yeah, I absolutely love that scene. However, it wouldn't have meant as much in the first movie because we didn't see everything that happened with all of them in the first movie like we did the in the third. I don't think it would've felt as meaningful in the first. We saw them raise him and care for him in the third. In the first, we saw them sing him a song and bam Simba is a grown up, then Nala shows up.

You are right. This movie gave more insights into their characters compared to the first. That's true, all of a sudden, Nala showed up and for the greater things. :D In my upcoming TLK3 fanfic they're going to meet their respective partners too. Lol.

Glad that scene was shown here. It reinforced the message that friends stick together to the end and also that Timon and Pumbaa were really committed to serve Simba.

Don't actually like 1 1/2 all that much, to be honest. But I'll admit that that scene is quite a good one. Wouldn't work in the original movie, but quite a good scene from a movie which, for the lack of a better word, trolls all over the original.
