What if Kiara joined the Outlanders?

I know this is strongly hypothetical and would need to alter some of the movie for it to be plausible, but say that events transpired such that Kiara and her love for Kovu, and perhaps Simba's desire to keep her and Kovu apart,, would lead to Kiara sneaking off in the night and actually joining the Outalanders (not saying she'd support the plot against her father, just that she'd ditch her own pride and join Zira's pride so that she could be with Kovu.)

Would Simba try and get her back or probably disown her in anger?

I can actually think of a scenario where Kiara might do such a thing too. Lion King 2 is slightly based off of Romeo and Juliet. If you recall, I believe Juliet married Romeo but was actually promised to Paris or something. She ended up having to fake her own death (so she wouldn't get disowned by her father for refusing to marry Paris and so she wouldn't have to tell her father she married a member of the enemy household.)

What if Kiara was betrothed to another lion (supposedly the betrothal law was axed by Simba when he became king, though it's never officially stated) and made her move to leave right before the wedding was to happen?

Granted, I'm not sure she would join the Outlanders if this happened (there is, as Kovu mentioned, the option of both of them ditching their respective prides and forming their own pride), but it's possible.

There's no logical scenario in which Kiara would join the Outsiders even if it was for Kovu. It would be too out-of-character for her to do that, and she wouldn't be welcomed into the Outsider pride anyway.

I don't know if the betrothal law was abolished when Simba became king, but there was no need to bring it up in Simba's Pride. In a scenario in which she was betrothed to another lion, I can see her running away to be with Kovu, but she would never join the Outsiders.

Not if Simba didn't know she knew about them. It was because Zira and Simba showed up and crashed the party when Kiara and Kovu first met and Kiara saw first hand that Zira was bad.

If, however, Kiara and Kovu kept meeting, then eventually Kiara, being the little diva that she is, would have gone into the Outlands with Kovu at some point and met Zira, who, I think, would have been clever enough NOT to mention her hatred of Simba and desire to kill him in front of Kiara. Indeed, Zira might tell her that Simba disagreed with her about Scar or something silly and that she and her whole pride, including the cubs, got banished over it.

Granted, I don't think Kiara would ever want to help the Outlanders kill Simba, but she MIGHT be enticed to help them force Simba to let them back in, believing that they were wrongfully banished. Her own experiences with Simba being so overprotective might further cause Kiara to think that Smiba was too harsh on the Outlanders and that he can, at times, be overbearing.

Again, another goal, besides the Outlanders and whatever she feels about them, is to get Kovu in.

I think that had nothing interrupted Kovu And Kiara's first meeting. I believe the two wold of continued to have a secret friendship. Kovu knows exactly what Zira thinks of The Pridelanders, as such he would have never brought Kiara home to meet Zira as it were.

If the betrothal had been in effect (I doubt this for several reasons. #1 I can't see Simba not asking Nala to marry him. #2 I doubt Simba would want Kiara (or Kion for that matter) to marry for anything less then love. Because he himself married for love. #3 If Simba was willing to allow Kiara to be betrothed, I doubt he would have regarded any Lion of being worthy of his little girl.) I believe Kovu and Kiara would have run off together. As Kovu would be well aware that taking Kiara to The Outsiders would have put her in great danger.
