I've been wondering what people might say after seeing some discussion on it. I say yes, definitely. Shenzi Marie Predatorra Valdetta Jacquelina Hyena is a magnificent vixen who won't let anybody bring her down!

I say no A Hyena would not beat a Lioness in a 1 on 1 fight, especially when that Lioness has exceptional Fighting skills like Nala.

No matter how cool the hyenas are, lions were flinging them around, each lioness fighting more than one hyena at once and not being worn down... Nala, an experienced fighter/hunter, would have no trouble beating one in a fight.

Mufasa took down all three hyenas in a few seconds. A starved Nala took down a male lion on her own.

I believe that shenzi could beat nala if she trained with vegeta at 30 times our gravity in a hyperbolic time chamber.
