I always had a question: are they his cubs or not? I'm sure Nuka is his cub, because he says: "I'm the older, I'm the smartest..." and "Scar wasn't even his father, he just adopted him". Yes, in this film he says so. But in some sites I visited I found that Kovu is his son, and Vitani is Scar's daughter too.
they look just like Scar..

I think Kovu ain't his son as Zira said that Scar personally hand picked him to follow him.

The director of
Simba's Pride was contacted back in 2010 on Facebook, and he stated
Zira was changed from being written as Scar's mate to being a follower with her lineage being obscured. As for Nuka, he was basically complaining since he is the oldest of Zira's children and his exaggeration of his strength and intelligence, he should have been appointed Scar's heir, not because he is Scar's son (which he has been confirmed as not).
