I've always really loved this portrait of the whole cast. It's as if the gang decided for one day, to all chill together.

I also really like it!

But I do find it funny how Timon and Pumbaa are there, even though Mufasa is still very much clearly alive.

Yeah, the pic really does give a sense of togetherness for all the cast.
Since when is Scar willing to pose for a portrait? He probably despises portraits
I guess that explains the not-thrilled look on his face.

The hyenas are alive, if that's what your saying. Or were you just saying it's funny they are there?

I was stating it was funny that they were there when they are within reach of Mufasa, Simba, and the other lions.
