some characters not liked by kids like older viewers do??

When I was younger, I used to love Cub Simba's personality, in fact, I was a tomboy because of it, he was like my idol, so I acted like a boy to be more like him. That happened when I was 7 years old, now I'm 13 and I really appreciate the most of the characters. In my taste, villians are not my type, but every character has a subliminal message, and you need to find and understand them.
In a kid vision, The Lion King is only a funny movie which you can enjoy watching it, but as you grow up, you start to see The Lion King as a movie that teaches you lessons of life and you learn from life thanks to the movie, depending the way you understand it.
