Whenever I think of a old/new project, I like to compile a list of songs I think best fit the mood/atmosphere so it helps my thinking process. Has anyone else done this before, and if so, feel free to post it here!

Just to get things rolling, here's one I made for my upcoming fanfic "The Phoenix King"! Please let me know what you think! :)

Yep, actually I always do this.
Yesterday while making Kommissar Rex fanart I listened to the theme song, and it helped a lot ^^

I haven't written one for TLK yet, but when I wrote one before on a different site I did a similair type of thing yes.
I just think back to what OSTs have impressd me recently and listen to them, I find instrumental pieces better though for inspiration especiall if you can gt ones that match the mood in the scene your writting.

Example: If I were to write an epic action scene. i'd look no further than God Of War 3 - Poseidon's Wrath
Kingdom Hearts II - The Encountr (Is played when you team up with Simba to fight Scar >3

Or for a more chilled out scene:
House OST* Massive Attack - Teardrop

Hmm, I don't do this often, but I know what you mean =) Sometimes when I'm writing a RP post I can relate it to a song, and it helps me if I listen to the song at the same time. It also applies to Fan Art.

I don't think I've really done that. Sounds interesting, though. :)

Whenever I write fan fiction, I almost always make a soundtrack to accompany it. Really helps give me inspiration to write!

I used to write stories in accordance to tracks from film scores, but not so much regular ol' rock songs and such. I've written several pieces while listening to the score from TLK, actually.
