My Lion King Forum

Hi guys! This is a follow-up post to the Member Dens situation. First of all, we are not done yet, exactly. We have a LOT of topics to sort through in the Den still and some forums may be changed as well.

As you can see, we've changed a few things around. Here is a list of what we've done.

• We removed ALL member dens but we kept their topics.
• We removed the Articles forum due to it being a redundant place to discuss TLK but we kept its topics.
• We removed The Lion King Wiki forum due to inactivity in it.
• We created a new forum: Member HQ, with a subforum: Member Q&A
• We created 3 subforums in the Den: Entertainment, World Issues, and the Smarty Pants Forum
• We moved Member Birthdays forum and The Extraordinary Events forum into the new Member HQ forum as subforums
• We tried our best to sort through the (literally) thousands of topics and move them into the appropriate forum. (This is why the new forums appear quite populated already.)
• In the Arcade, we implemented an auto-pruner that automatically deletes topics that haven't been replied to in 75 days. And yes, the auto-pruner has already been run once. If a particular game is missing from the Arcade, feel free to remake it.

This next part sort of explains the plan behind the new forums. Along with this, you should read the forum descriptions before posting. We think the new layout should be easy to use ^_^ Let us know.

Member HQ is the replacement for the Member Dens. It is sort of a common ground for members. Use this forum to brag about yourself, listen to other members brag about themselves, and stuff like that. The Member Q&A is for the "Ask Me" topics. (And yes, everyone may now make their own "Ask Me" topic.)

Member HQ is unlike the Den, which has remained the dumping ground for general off-topic discussions. But! Inside of the Den, we have three new subforums which will hopefully take a bit of the load off of the crowded Den. We have Entertainment, which is the "What do you do for fun in real life?" forum. We have a World Issues forum which can be used to discuss current news and politics. And finally we have our "Smarty Pants Forum" which is for intellectual and techie discussions ranging from "Friedrich Nietzsche" to "What computer should I buy?"

So if you didn't read any part of that, read this: We aren't done! We have 30 pages of topics to sift through in the Den and Member HQ. We went through it once, but there are still a lot of topics in the wrong place. Please continue to bare with us as we sift through the mountains of topics. If you see a topic out of place, please report it.

This was a pretty good solution. I just hope everyone will realize it.

I'm very sorry to have doubted you. This was a much better feature than dens, and it's very equal. I feel bad for asking Moka to change my username, he worked so hard to do this... and you, too, WS? You contributed yes?

WS did most of the work! x3 He laboriously dug through piles of topics and sorted out what he could today. ^__^

Yeah, I sorted 100 posts before Moka finally told me I could just mass move them. >.> lol, It's fine though, I guess this just proves how much I really respect the forum.
