Heres my fanmade cast for Lion King 2 if they made a live action Version
Mufasa: James Earl Jones
Sarabi: Alfred Woodard
Simba: Donald Glover
Nala: Beyonce
Young Kiara: Skai Jackson
Kovu: Jaden Smith
Timon: Billy Eichtner or however to spell his name
Pumbaa: Seth Rogan
Me: Dan Green (the guy who played Yugi Muto) I would have a cameo during the war saying Come at me bro
Tama: China Anne Mclain she'd have a cameo during the war
Vitani: The girl who played her before
Nuka: Andy Dick (why not have hime return as Nuka)
Adult Kiara: Dove Cameron
Adult Kovu: Greg Abbey (the guy who played Yusei Fudo
Rafiki: His voice actor from Lion King 2019
Zira: Erica Schroder or Judi Dench i can't decide

Wow. I've also been thinking of Dove Cameron as Kiara and keeping all the 2019 cast for consistency. Interesting list. My pick for Vitani would be Haley Reinhart (real good raspy but Vitani-esque voice) but Lacey Chabert still sounds the same so she could come back. Overall, yes to the cast.

Assuming all the characters and story are essentially the same as the cartoon film -- which I'd be fine with but only if it's actually substantively expanded upon, but those are thoughts for a different time and post -- my own personal suggestions for the new characters:

Kiara
- young: (agreed) Skai Jackson
- adult: Yara Shahidi
Kovu
- young: Miles Brown
- adult: Dusan Brown (no relation)
Zira: Angela Bassett
Vitani
- young: Marsai Martin
- adult: Letitia Wright
Nuka: Marcus Scribner

Yes, I do realize that I casted all four of the kids from [i]black-ish[/i], with three of them playing siblings again (and the third time I think that Marsai Martin and Miles Brown have played twins/multiples). And Letitia Wright is playing Angela Bassett's daughter a second time.

to be honest i kinda see Veronica Taylor as Zira

I was trying to keep the casting consistent with their choices for the first film, i.e., the lions are all voiced by black actors. I landed on Angela Bassett because she's a powerhouse actor and I saw her deliver a pretty intimidating monologue in an interview that sold me on the idea.

i hope denzel washington or his son voices the younger Mufasa (love ya James but you dont have it anymore).

I was hoping A year ago Chadwick Boseman would voice Kovu but... that isn't going to happen.

Lupita N'yongo could make a good Zira.

Letitia Wright could make a good older Vitani or Kiara.

Cast two unknown African actors for young Kovu and Kiara.

And since this is a Mufasa prequel too we possibly might see a younger Scar, Sarabi, Sarafina, Uru and Ahadi... hmmm...

as for Nuka? Eh...

well i would think it was obvious they wouldn't have jones voice a younger mufasa.

unless disney really wanted to drag him along again. but that would be really bad. terrible.

I kinda think Chloe Grace Moretz would be perfect for young vitani.
For the adult voice, probably Jodie Foster.

For adult zira, I think Bonnie Tyler would do a great role (everyone knows villains are British or Welsh). Her voice is as raspy as it gets, and the plus is she can sing (unfortunately her age has limited quite a lot her vocal range ).
