To put this into perspective, the beauty and the beast remake opened at 174 million and gradually did close to 1.3 billion.

The Lion King is going to be huge either way. As of now, I estimate over $200 million for the domestic opening weekend for The Lion King and it will probably settle well over $600 million for the total domestic box office gross. Maybe, even close to Black Panther's $700 million box office haul.
