I'm pretty sure that Gorillas live nowhere near the savannah. Must be some really lost Gorillas.

There is a gorilla in the "I Just Can't Wait to be King" sequence; he must've been lost too...

Also, okapis have been in the Pride Lands at least since the start The Lion King II, and they have about the same range. Also, chimpanzees are apparently residents in or around some of the more heavily forested areas, and they don't have the same range as well. Plus, you've got Rafiki, who is officially a mandrill. Basically, it looks like it'll be a continuation of the "just throw in any animal that lives in sub-Saharan Africa".

There was a gorilla that was cut from TLK but made it into the videogame in the Hakuna Matata level, too.

I was waiting for the Harambe jokes to come in. I'd probably facepalm if they actually named one of the characters such a thing; Bunga's existence is clearly an indication that the producers are aware of internet memes, and I'm willing to think they've had plenty of time between May and now to work this one in if they so chose...

I doubt they'll name any of the gorillas Harambe. I'll laugh way too hard if they do, though.
