New episode 'The Lost Gorillas'.

Honestly, I knew people weren't going to like this one when I heard about it. But I like Dan and Phil, and I didn't mind the silliness of the episode. Not every episode needs to be as serious as most are. It's a cartoon, aimed at young kids, and for what it is, most of the episodes convey very nice themes and morals. I don't see anything wrong with having an episode that serves the primary purpose of being fun and light-hearted, and at some point everyone deals with people like the gorilla princes, so it's a nice laugh.

Also I find it odd how so many people hate the fart jokes when TLK has always had its share of them—it's kind of a staple of the franchise. I'm honestly surprised (though grateful) that there aren't more of them. I think they're sparse enough so as not to be overbearing or bothersome.

It's just a cartoon, people.

The fart joke in the first movie was fairly subtle. Not super subtle but it didn't feel too pandering.

In the second movie it was less subtle. In tlk1.5 they dropped any semblence of subtlety. In TLG it's as subtle as a brick to the face.
Why do we fall? So that we can learn to pick ourselves back up again.
here, though these are from 1 & ½ or TLK3 to some:

But I do agree that TLG's were too bright/light green there.
True but in those scenes The characters are very clearly irritated (and that is putting it lightly) by the gas in those scenes. where as there was no irritation in the scene from Lion King.

I guess some characters just don't mind, thus no irritated reactions. (Timon, Simba)

Maybe it's simply because we've never actually seen the landscape from various angles on Pride Rock, but am I the only one who found it a little jarring that there's a huge mountain range out of nowhere?
Is that a snow-covered piece of rock or mountain poking in there along the right of this image?

I don't know, it's too distant to tell if it's snow-capped or not. Even still, the Theluji Mountains (based on the real-life Rwenzori Mountain range) isn't in this shot; it's to the west of Pride Rock, in the direction Kion and Bunga are walking from. My issue is that the Theluji Mountains, as seen from the Pride Rock, are so close that you'd wonder why they're not in the other scenes throughout the series where you're looking in that direction, which, granted, are few and far between, but still it's just the most notable case of inconsistent geography. *A mountain range appears!*

Erosion? Amongst other things, as we learn in Bunga and The King about the Sinkholes after a rain. And again in Baboons!

It's just artistic inconsistencies; there's no way to actually reconcile it with a good in-universe explanation. Erosion of mountains takes minimally hundreds of years to take any noticeable effect (thousands at distances we're seeing in these images) and the entire Lion King story arc takes place, realistically, within a roughly 5-6 year period.

the scientific theory I came up with is that the reason that Pride Rock never looks the same, is because of weathering of Rock, Rocks never stay the same over time
