... Get referenced?

I know that a lot of tlk1.5 broke the continuity of the original but I like Ma and uncle max, enough for me to want them to show up in an episode and be considered canon characters outside of a 'what if' version of the first movie.

Even if they don't show up in an episode, it would be nice if timon referenced them.

I think a reference to them would be a nice nod to 1.5, kinda hope it happens. 1.5 may have played a bit too fast and loose with continuity to be canon, but I don't mind Ma and Uncle Max themselves being canon. Plus, 1.5 is from Timon's perspective, so while Timon may have exaggerated some things, odds are Ma and Uncle Max still do exist.

I really don't see these two characters really making an appearance in TLG. I can see Kovu, Vitani, and Nuka appearing to play into timeline of TLK universe. I like Ma but not so much Uncle Max. I am looking forward to seeing Vitani.

So was tlk2 but kovu/vitani/nuka are still showing up eventually.

I think it's unfair to say there's no chance! The possibility of them showing up didn't even occur to me because I hated 1 1/2, but I don't mind Ma and Uncle Max. My bet is on them getting vaguely referenced by timon. Like he might say "My Uncle/Ma told me..."or something to that effect. I doubt that they'll physically show up though, because it wouldn't really add much marketing potential. Who's gonna tune in for an episode specifically for characters from a generally disliked sequel? lol. If Lion Guard goes on for long enough though who knows, I think bringing them in would be interesting

We need a hecking meerkat party episode where a ton of meerkats show up, and Ma and Uncle Max are among them.

I agree. Also is makes perfect sense for Ma to come visit Timon and Pumbaa. It also makes perfect sense for her to drag Uncle Max along with her if she is coming to visit. I also think that Ma would think of Bunga as a grandson. That may not be a good enough idea to base an episode on, but it could be a side story.
