This was recently uploaded, and i thought it made sense in a way. It's kinda dark and sad when you think about it (to me anyways since Kion is my favorite character), but i don't really know how else to put it.

I am aware. But this is just a theory, and i thought i'd share it with everyone. I'm gonna have to think about this one a little more.

Wouldn't this be better suited for the fanart topic? Since it's still fanart for the most part.

I've actually seen more than one person with that theory, though.

Oh yeah! I forgot about that thread. but then again, this is also a theory discussion, and i don't want anyone including me to derail the purpose of that thread.

That would be awesome you follow Kion through the story only for something to happen in the last season, then near the end he goes bad and Simba and Kiara are forced to battle him, talk about tragic. I don't think it's very likely especially considering the tone return of the roar went for but it's a cool theory I'm not denying that and I wouldn't mind seeing it happen actually, I love a good tragedy.

^And how would Kion be corrupted into doing something evil if he's not power hungry or vengeful given his happy background?

Good for an AU kind of fan comic or story, but I would really hate it happening on a TV screen.

you know what, it has been bothering me, when Mufasa first says till the Pridelands end, and I never have liked it, cause its like saying once the Pridelands are dead, we will stop defending, which to me doesn't make any sense so how do you see it in a positive way?

Good people can eventually become evil, it's not an easy story to do but it can happen. Remember one of the single most famous villains in cinematic history Darth Vader is a fallen hero. So it is doable it would be very difficult to pull off though, true Kion hasn't shown any signs of being evil but a single moment could change it all. People change when what they put their faith in fails, when they lose hope they become something else. So the idea of Kion eventually being a fallen hero could happen.

However this is Disney we're talking it's highly unlikely to board line impossible that this will ever happen nor will any story even remotely like it, the fallen hero is a well dark story and it doesn't really fit how Disney does things, though I do think it wouldn't hurt for Disney to step out of their comfort zone and maybe do a tragic fallen hero story about Scar, I don't think they will but I would still like to see it.

Funny, a great deal of Kion's character arc is trying to avoid what Scar did when he was a Lion Guard. Now that Hatari has mentioned it, there was a review of Return of the Roar that compared the powers of the Lion Guard to the Force seen in Star Wars. So, Kion turning evil would pretty much negate what the writers are trying to do with his character with showing a character that can use his powers with responsibility and not for selfish desires. But...Kion turning evil would definitely up the ante, and create more character complexity and relationship drama. It's kind of like what they did with Ward in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (oops, spoiler). Nevertheless, this would make for an excellent fan fiction.
