In that new "Here comes the Lion Guard" video, i saw a small clip of Kion straight up SMACKING a hyena in the face XD!

I cannot wait for that episode man! Kion surely is fierce when he needs to be

And what about Simba saying he is still a cub? they are really stepping out of the reality box here

He is a cub still. Just because Kion's is a cub doesn't mean he can't fight physically. At least, not in the Disney universe. Besides, that's was just Simba being concerned for Kion and his new found role in life.

Another thing to keep in mind, it the Hyenas Kion is up against are pree-teens at best. Not full grown adult Hyenas.

I personally feel that Kion is slightly older then cub Simba was in the original movie.
Maybe something like this, cub Simba is around 8, and Kion is 12, and Kiara is 13, in human years. This, along with his roar, makes him more capable of fighting. I believe Janja's crew mostly consists of teenagers and pre-teens, since they are quite tiny when compared to the hyenas we see in TLK. Just take a look at the hyena Kion slaps in the face - it's barely taller then him.
Plus, it would go along with the way real-life hyenas behave, as they leave their pack when they reach early adulthood and search for a new one. Janja just decided that he's rather form a pack of his own along with other teenagers.

I see your point and now I think what Disney did was make the young hyenas more like a trouble making like gang, like trouble makers out on the street with gangs, get what im saying?

Let me back up/confirm your statement.

According to the wiki, janja is actually considered a teenager. Your not far from the truth

It's quite clearly teens vs teens, not cubs vs adults. And okay, maybe Kion isn't quite at the teen stage yet, but he's close. Close enough to be a match for a young hyena. And it makes sense - in real life, male lions use their strength to protect the pride from enemies such as hyenas.

ok now see that changes how I viewed it before because I was think cubs vs adult, but teenagers thats seems to makes things a little bit better for me
