Ok this has been bothering me for a while now, alot of people think that Kion looks alot like Mufasa, um, no, he doesn't, he look no where near as close, first of if you just take of Kions Mohawk, I see 100% of Simba in him , like father like son, just because Kion has this color of mane does not make him look like Mufasa, because Mufasa has a big chin, Big nose and smaller eyes , Kion doesnt have that, he has more cub simba features case closed.

I don't know why you made two threads about this, but I have deleted the second one as it was a dupe.

As for the topic itself, it's not the mane that makes him look like Mufasa. It's the shape of his face. His chin *is* bigger than Simba's, and the reason Mufasa's eyes are so small is his age. All of the characters have bigger eyes as cubs. Besides that, Simba himself resembles Mufasa, so if Kion looks like one of them, he looks like the other as well.

Kion: I mostly resemble my dad as of now. Maybe when i'm older i'll look like my grandad and my father. Still doesn't rid me of my handsomeness lol

Actually, Kion does take a lot after his grampa, and I see where people are coming from when they point that out.


First thing that catches my eyes is his nose, as it is brown and more square then his dad's, like Mufasa's. Kion's tuft of mane looks brighter then Simba's, too. When you compare Simba and Mufasa, you might notice Mufasa looks slightly more gaunt, square and stronger then his son, and when you compare cub Simba with cub Kion you could say the same. The shape of Kion's eyes resemble Mufasa's more then Simba's too, as they appear a little more round. Kion also has bushier eyebrows that go all the way down until the pale part under his eyes, which is also larger then Simba's. He also appears more muscular then his dad was when he was a cub, possesing broad shoulders and larger jaw, just as Mufasa looks stronger then adult Simba, even in TLK2. While Kion's fur is probably much paler then Mufasa's, you can also say that both Kion and his gramps have smaller contrast between their main pelt and muzzle/paws/... then Simba.

Then again, all this is hard to point at due to all the design changes Mufasa and Simba got it TLG - Mufasa lacks his brown nose, pale nose patch, lightly scruffy mane... so to put all this I mainly looked at original TLK Simba and Mufasa for reference.

TLG Kion is older than TLK cub Simba, so that could factor into Kion having bigger features. I see both Simba and Mufasa in him, which makes a lot of sense - often, children don't just resemble their parents, but their grandparents as well, and features that a grandparent has may skip a generation and show up on the grandchild instead of the first-generation-child.

I just found 2 images of adult Kion on DA. Of course, all the credit goes the the artists. Not me.
