Has anyone noticed that Zazu has not shown up at all? not a single footage of him yet, and its making me miss him.

Stop worrying. He's in the series as they confirmed that he's being voiced by Jeff Bennett. The trailers and television spots are focusing on Kion and his friends since they are the more important characters.

I think we can count on him showing up in the first episode, and making a guest or cameo appearance every now and again. I suspect he may have some advice for Ono about airborne reconnaissance every so often.

In that case, take SimbasGuard's comments with a grain of salt. He will make at least an appearance regardless of how marginal or minimal it will be. All will be revealed Return of the Roar airs.

I think there was an image of Zazu in the book EJ and Blu shared images of, or am I wrong?

i'm sure he will be in the show
