Christopher willis is the composer for the score and beau black is behind the musical numbers. We have only seen parts of the music.

I tweeted lebo m about the possibility of him working on some of the songs but have not gotten a response sadly.

And apparently according to a tweet I got from chris willis some of the score will be on the soundtrack released in january but the music from the 30 second long teaser was not his.

I don't expect greatness from the music but I would like to be pleasantly surprised.

Hmm... interesting... You've got me wondering. Since it was intended originally for younger viewers, I would have thought that the music might not be particularly expressive or dramatic, but I could be wrong. The Lion King's music was one of my favourite parts of the film, and I also love TLK 2's backing tracks. It might be a nice pleasant surprise, and I may buy the soundtrack if Its good.

I think you can preorder it now from Amazon at least. No track listing yet, though.

I'm looking forward to the music myself. So far, It's a Beautiful Day is a nice song, it fits the mood at that point in the movie. It makes me wonder if we'll have any character songs.

As far as background music goes, like others, I'm expecting good music, but not quite 'TLK epic' music. I'd love to be surprised, though!

So far some of the Lion Guard commercial have given me the chills. I think the music is a big factor in that.
