Is anyone else bothered by the fact that Fuli seems to be the only female member of the group? All the other members are male.

Nope. Why would it be a problem?

I don't want her to end up like the Black Widow in The Avengers.

It's a show about a young boy and his friends... of course most of them will be male. But Kiara, Tiifu, and Zuri are female characters, though we know very little about two of them or what roles any of them play and they aren't on the Guard themselves I'm sure they'll be relevant characters.

While it's true there will be some female auxiliary characters, they will not be the main characters.

How the female characters are portrayed is more important than how many of them there are.

Even though Black Widow was the only female in the Avengers, she was still an important part of the team. She was kicking Chitauri butt with the rest of them. From what little we have see of her it looks as if Fuli will have no trouble contributing to The Lion Guard as a member of the team.
